INTERNATIONAL FINAL 2021 – 2022
SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
WHAT IS GMC?
The Global Management Challenge consists of a Management Simulation in which each team manages a Company, with the objective of obtaining the highest return on investment for the original shareholders not only as the value of their shares at the end of the competition, but also after taking into account shares bought or sold and dividends received.
WHERE?
The city chosen for the course of the celebration is Santiago de Compostela, capital of the Galician lands that is in one of its most important dates, Xacobeo 2021-2022, dates very marked by its spiritual and historical value for the city and that will make the atmosphere that we find in it even better than it usually is.
Santiago de Compostela is a stone apparition nestled between the green forests of northwestern Spain and the nearby Galician estuaries. It began as a place of passage along a Roman road, but the discovery of the tomb of St. James the Apostle in the early ninth century gave rise to a place of worship in the confines of a peninsula then dominated by the Muslim invasion. From then on, the whole of Europe set out for Santiago, the holy city of Christianity, where the grace of plenary absolution awaited them. There emerged a Romanesque cathedral to which the passing of the centuries wanted to add the sobriety of the Renaissance and the majesty of a Baroque that ended up tracing the monumental image of the city, made of the granite of its monasteries, its pilgrims’ hospitals, its numerous churches, its stately homes and squares in which time chose to stand still.
Global Management Challenge is certified by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in EOCCS, a quality seal for online business management courses.
One of the most important objectives is to promote educational innovation in universities, allowing students to acquire professional skills in a practical, fun and highly competitive way.
