Located 150 meters from the cathedral, in the historic center of Santiago de Compostela, is Hotel Monumento San Francisco. It is inside the convent of San Francisco, a building declared of Cultural Interest. The convent of San Francisco is one of the most emblematic historical sites of the city, not only for the banquets, cocktails and events of companies and institutions held in the hotel but also for the activity of its Franciscan community in different spaces such as the monumental church of San Francisco, the museum of the Holy Land, the library full of history, its provincial archive, the convent estate, but above all the social work carried out in the Juan XXIII hostel, for the homeless of the city.
It is the only hotel located in a convent where friars continue to live. Each of its 82 rooms are different, and that uniqueness is due to the fact that they have been adapted to the characteristics of this 18th century building.

HOW TO GET
You can get from Santiago de Compostela airport to the Hotel NH collection 5* by cab on the A-54 or the SC-20, as there are no public roads between the two points.
The duration of the cab ride is approximately 20 minutes, as the distance between the two points is approximately 16 km.
